Unit 7

I had to create a wise woman for my meditation. This wasn’t very difficult because I had previously done a similar meditation a few years ago, so I just recalled her to me. Having this person there with me always calms me. And, again, I have to say that water background is my favorite. After a few years of practicing visualization meditations a friend of mine asked if she could do a meditation with me. She wanted to see how far my meditative abilities had progressed. After I was in a meditative state she asked me to visualize an apple in my hand. Then she told me to “take” a bite of the apple. I swear on my life that what I’m about to tell you is the truth. I could taste the apple!

  1. Thanks for your comment on my blog! I think that is awesome that you could taste the apple. It makes sense Tina... Everything starts in our mind, including our senses. We don't feel anything until it registers in the brain. Our mind and perceptions (in my understanding) is the control center for everything we feel, think, do, etc. So if you told your mind to taste the red delicious apple - then bingo it will. Ask and it is given...voila!

    I love it!

  2. Wow! Cool. I totally believe it. What I like about the wise man's (womans) meditation is that I can visualize the healer in me. I will need that. Sometimes you just don't know what to do with a patient, or what really is wrong, or on that day the listening skills are not very good - well, then I could visualize the healer in me and I bet I can then come up with an explanation, diagnose, or treatment. Love how that works!
