Autogenic

I do meditation on a regular basis. But I haven't done any like this before. I really liked it. Directing the blood flow throughout the body is a great way to relax. And this meditation gives me some ideas on how to build on it. I like doing many different meditations. It keeps me from getting bored. It always amazes me; the power of the mind and what we can make our bodies do through a little effort.

  1. Can you share a little about the meditations you do? It would be interesting. It is truly astounding what the connection mind-body is capable of. I love this course - it really pulls all these thoughts out into the open. I am sure it will make us healthier people by the end. Good Luck!

  2. Hello Tina,

I would greatly appreciate some tips on how to meditate. See, I like to read positve and self-help books for example The Secret and all the books that I read have something in common...MEDITATION all of them talk about meditating and reaching connection with the universe or our Higher power to manifest our desires and reach wholeness. I've tried before but for some reason I just can't sometimes a feel like a fool telling myself to concentrate and talking to myself...=\ I hope you share your tips with us...I will greatly appreciate it!! =)

  3. Rosita,
There is one point about meditation that I can't stress enough; Meditation is a very personal experience. When you first start out exploring meditation you, naturally, start with other peoples meditations (being guided through their meditations). The thing is, these are guidelines to meditation. Meditation works best (at least for me) when I personalize it. For example, I have a meditation that I have learned to do in minutes, during times I am out of the house and it is not appropriate for me to sit and "OMMMM" for a half hour. I take myself to a place "I" have created. A place that is very relaxing and comforting for me. Keep in mind that the best meditation is the ones that work for you. And they don't have to be formal or from others. I, personally do not like to sit for 30 minutes doing a meditation. There is only guidelines for meditation not right or wrong. Start by creating a place were only you can go. Remember just because you grew up, doesn't mean your imagination has left. It may need a little boost. Also remember that it may take you a few weeks, or even months, to come up with your place. It doesn't happen over night.

Good luck and if you need me, you know where to find me.

  4. Ok, I've given you useful information but not something you can try right now. Here is a good meditation. It is a visualization that I use to clear my mind of unnecessary information that is floating around in my head. You know, we live in a drama world where other peoples tiny issues are magnified. This is stuff I want out of my head, so here is what I do.

Sit, stand, lay. Contemplate the Cosmos. Think about a picture you have seen about the planets. Pick an image, then focus on it. Look for details in the image. You will be surprised at how much detail about that planet you can recall. It is important to first see the whole planet then move on to each detail in turn.

  6. Hi Tina!

I also enjoy meditation! This blood flow control exercise was great! I get cold quite often, so I will try and practice this for that purpose as well.
Our mind has so much power to take charge, and it's just waiting to be tapped into. I believe it is our God-given right to learn how to channel it :)
